Tupl Agro and COITAMA sign an agreement to make AI-powered software available to members — software that sends farmers personalized alerts and recommendations about their farms via Tupl Agro's WhatsApp service.

The Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos Agrícolas de Málaga (COITAMA) offers its members a range of services including training programs, job boards, and research agreements with major national institutions. It now also makes Agro Advisor available to its member network — a service designed by the Málaga-based company Tupl Agro that delivers useful, personalized, and specific alerts and recommendations to farmers at precisely the right moment, via WhatsApp.

The Tupl Agro software — which in this first phase targets olive, cereal, and citrus farmers — analyzes the farmer's land 24/7, 365 days a year and provides alerts on pruning, potential pests, crop density, humidity, adverse weather conditions, and more. It also sends timely, periodic agronomic recommendations including risk maps, agronomic maps, humidity maps, soil and foliar analysis reminders, fertilization alerts, and more. It also keeps farmers up to date with the latest developments in their sector.

Antonio Manuel Adrián, the head of the Málaga-based company, says we can already speak of Agriculture 5.0: "The main barrier we see is the need to interpret and communicate relevant information to farmers in an effective and straightforward way. That is precisely what Tupl Agro delivers through its WhatsApp service."

For his part, José Manuel Pardo, president of COITAMA, adds: "Through this collaboration, synergies will be created in the future that will benefit our members. This will allow them to offer this service to their network of farmers, as well as to stay on top of the latest information about their own operations."
