Internalizing multi-vendor Power Savings Management
The client
A Tier-1 telecom operator in Europe aiming to take full control of energy efficiency initiatives by internalizing power-saving operations across a multi-vendor RAN environment—eliminating vendor lock-in and maximizing both performance and cost savings.
The challenge
The operator had implemented Power Saving Features (PSFs) from multiple RAN vendors. One vendor operated its PSF under a Managed Services model based on a benefit-sharing agreement, where energy savings were shared between the vendor and the operator. The operator’s goal was to internalize the process and scale it nationwide across a multi-vendor environment, gaining full control over both performance and cost.
